DunavNET is part of the European project SENSE (Strengthening Cities and Enhancing Neighbourhood Sense of Belonging), focused on improving urban living through the use of immersive technologies and advanced digital tools.
By creating CitiVerses – interactive digital twins of real urban spaces – the project enables citizens to better understand and engage with challenges such as climate adaptation, mobility, and urban planning. These virtual environments are designed to support more inclusive decision-making and strengthen the connection between people and their cities.
The project builds on interoperable European digital infrastructure and delivers practical solutions that make urban data accessible and meaningful for local authorities and communities.
DunavNET is developing tools for bridging urban data, ensuring that digital technologies address real needs and support everyday decision-making in urban environments.
SENSE pilot activities are taking place in:
– In Kiel, families explore the impact of green infrastructure on coastal protection and biodiversity.
– In Cartagena, citizens take an active role in understanding and addressing flood risks.
Co-funded by the Digital Europe Programme (Grant Agreement No. 101167948)
