The DEMETER project is a large-scale deployment of farmer-centric, interoperable smart farming – IoT based platforms, delivered through a series of 20 pilots across 18 countries.
- Pilots are used to demonstrate and evaluate how innovations and extended capabilities benefit from the interoperability mechanisms employed
- The pilots have been organized into five major clusters: Arable Crops, Precision Farming, Fruit and Vegetables, Livestock and Supply Chain, involving 60 partners, 25 deployment sites, 6,000 farmers and over 38,000 devices and sensors
- Our focus within the project is on Disease prediction and supply chain transparency for Orchards/vineyards, Transparent supply chain in poultry industry and Optimal chicken farm management
